Why does Potassium Sulphate come as granules?

Why does it come in large granules for use as fertilizer when it is far less soluble than Potassium Nitrate which comes as a powder?

I am a high school student stuck in an unhealthy family trying to eat a healthy whole balanced diet. I hate white flour and sugar but that is the only thing that my family buys. Every time they buy it I tell them that I don’t use it and ask them to buy pure cane sugar or whole-wheat flour. Every time I try to tell them the benefits of a healthy wholesome diet, they get all pissed off and make me feel stupid. I want to quit eating factory bread and make homemade WHOLE WHEAT bread. I am also a vegan and my dad is a dairy farmer. They always eat and drink things like soda, chips, and desserts. I want to cut off using peanut butter that has sugar and hydrogenated oils but that’s all that they buy. How can I convince my family to eat healthy? I am trying to get a job to buy my own food but the economy sucks here and there are no jobs. Also whenever my family buys fruits and vegetables I eat them all and they get angry with me.

I have a 20 year old Persian and 2 other cats. I just thought of it the other day and squeezed a little fish oil in their food. I poked one of my capsules and squeezed it into their food and stirred. I thought the extra vitamins and other benefits of fish oil may help with my elderly Persian. The cats seem to love it, but I thought I'd ask anyone with experience if this is a good idea. I've done it twice, but would like to know if it is OK to add to food.

I appreciate your help and advice.

Thank you!

I'm trying to figure out why my muscles (esp. hamstrings) hurt and won't stretch. I'm drinking 2 to 3 liters of water a day, because it is so dry inside this time of year. I take calcium, and magnesium now and then. I'm wondering if maybe my potassium is getting flushed out with all the water I'm drinking. I've been checked for everything under the sun and nothing is apparently wrong. Thanks!

Now i know of course depression is linked to them but i went to a health food store and the worker suggested some things B complex, Magnesium, potassium and of course a multi vitamin, but my question is that on the magnesium i bought has in parentheses
( Magnesium Aspartate) now i read on line that that type of mag. will not be absorbed by your body is that right?

second question how many mg. do i need a day to help reduce my symptoms and physical attacks?

WHAT ARE SYMPTOMS OF HIGH POTASSIUM IN BLOOD?

what are symptoms of high potassium in blood?

I can't eat bananas, which contain a lot of potassium, because they give me a rather harsh stomach ache. My friend, who was a Naval medic, suggested I buy potassium pills to relieve the random cramps I get in my hands and feet. I drink plenty of water, so I don't think that dehydration is the issue. Any advice?
I'd like to say that I knew Greens would help my K. But thanks fot the answer.
