what foods help with low potassium level?

i went to the doctor yesterday morning because i was experiencing dizziness. they drew some blood and told me i had a low potassium level. they told me to eat bananas and green, leafy plants. they also said to drink gatorade. i really don’t like any of these things. any other suggestions?

I have a relatively good diet and I do not physically exert myself, but recently I was in the hospital for severe depression. The nurse came in and gave me a potassium (pill form) because my potassium level was very low. I didn’t feel physically bad, but was suffering from a major manic/depressive episode ( I am Bipolar). I was taking 50 Mg. Seroquel, 10 Mg. Ambien, Abilify and Tofanril. What should I also look for as a symptom of low postassium? = Thanks

Skin dehydration

Just a quickie cos it jumped into mind about the central heating being so drying so i thought id make a quick vid!

Obviously the cortisol is low because of the Addison’s but their potassium is off the chart and she’s not on any supplements or anything or a high potassium diet. her cortisol is lower than normal - she’s seen the doctor. just curious as to why this would be happening

I want to make a dilution where i need to use 0.2 moles of potassium iodide and i need to add it to WHAT amount of water?
I dont know what volume of water to use? and how many grams of potassium iodide needed?

PLEASEEEE HELP XXXXX MWAH XXXX

2-a-day football practices begin tomorrow. In the previous years i have always taken a potassium suplement before and after practices to prevent cramping and such. I found a potassium gluconate supplement at target and i picked that up to take this year, i assume its the same thing. i also grabbed some green-tea extract because of its antioxidant and weight loss properties. And lastly i grabbed a b12 supplement because of the energy that it produces…

is there anything wrong with taking these all at once before a practice? is the combination in any way dangerous?

Recently I’ve started using Lo salt instead of ordinary sea salt in my diet due to high blood pressure. However, since I’ve been using it I’ve had very debilitating joint and muscle pain and wondered if it might be due to the Lo salt as nothing else in my diet has changed.

I am unable to eat bananas because they cripple me with joint and muscle pain and cause my fingers and toes to swell up. I love bananas but will never be able to eat them again due to the potassium in them. This is what I’ve been told by my GP. As Lo salt contains a lot of potassium, I wondered if that might be my problem!

Is there anyone who can tell me of their own experience with Lo salt and potassium rich fruit etc, please.

How to effectively reduce high blood pressure?

Please how can I effectively reduce high blood pressure within the next couple of weeks. My current BP is 140/90 and need to get it within the normal range in the next 5 weeks. I have started exercising vigourously( tae bo in the morning, brisk walking in the evening), eating right, started HCTZ medication.
What else can I do to bring it down fast?

I have been taking magnesium citrate (100mg twice a day) at 9 am and 3 pm. After 4 days on it a developed insomnia for about 3 days in a row. I am not sure if it is magnesium, but I have taken on 2 different weeks and it has been the same story. It is supposed that magnesium helps with insomnia, but I am not sure in my case. Any comments?
