Is It Too Late For Me To Take a Calcium Supplement?

so I really want to start taking a calcium-magnesium supplement. But I am already 19 weeks along, is it too late to get much benefit from a cal-mag supplement?

Okay. I love my training. Tonight, I went 2.5 hours. One hour kajukenbo. One and a half hours judo jiu-jitsu. Now I’m sore. In fact, my collar hurts but I can still move it. No more burning pain from earlier this evening. Here’s my question: What do you people use to recover after a workout? I’ve already increased my chromium intake (chromium picolinate = 200 mcg; chromium chloride in a one-a-day vitamin = 120 mcg). I haven’t increased potassium. I get 100 mg in a one-a-day vitamin. I think that’s real low. Near the end of my sessions, my calves and sometimes my Serratus posterior inferior (my ribs) and the lumbar region cramp. I think that might be dehydration. I try to minimize my carb intake for health reasons and trying to drop a little more weight to get faster. Any tips, training ideas, suggestions?

how many calories are in a banana and a orange?

This Boa constrictor was presented to me with a severe case of stomatitis ulcerosa. The roof of the mouth was severely swollen and in the tissue there were holes filled with puss and dead flesh. Applying pressure on the nose resulted in puss running out of holes in the snake’s mouth. (holes which shouldn’t have been there to begin with… ) The vomero-nasal organ (Jacobsons organ) was completely destroyed and some of the bones in the upper jaw were also affected by the stomatitis. The fluids running over the right eye could not be drained due to the swelling of the surrounding tissue, hence the swelling of the head.. This animal was also severely dehydrated and malnourished, there is a video in my upload-list with the intestinal parasites this animal also had to deal with (flagellates and pinworms) ( www.youtube.com ) Unfornunately, despite treatment with antimicrobials, daily cleaning the oral mucosae subcutaneous fluids and agressive antiparasitic treatment (and a Sh*tload of money spent) this animal died after 6 or 7 days of intensive care.. Had the animal been brought in sooner (say, a month or so…) I am convinced that it would have been alive still. Some people should not be allowed to keep animals as pets.

Why are Potassium tablets so low in the DV%?

I have looked at all the other supplements at GNC, like Vitamin C and Magnesium for example, and they have well over 100% of the DV. However, Potassium is only like 3 or 4% of the daily value, why is this? It seems pointless to buy if that is all the Potassium you are getting.

Thanks for the info regarding this issue (Husband has lo pulse genetically and is on atenolol which makes him out of breath and lower pulse, e.g. 40)
My husband has taken acetazolamide (which I requested from doc) due to a small study that found it helped some with severe sleep apnea. But after the 2 stents were placed in Dec. 06, doc gave him cozaar, which is contraindicated w/ postassium, but when take acetazolamide, need to take potassium supplement. I understand that blood tests could monitor this interaction; and the acet. does help with the sleep apnea (a bit, he has complex apnea and is getting the new vpap machine in about a month). Cardiologist is on vacation now, I have called twice about this question and tried to ask him last visit, but he only has about 15 minutes per patient (he spent more like 45 minutes w/us), yet I still didn’t get through my list of questions.
