I have been having an irregular heartbeat for a little while now. My doctor prescribed Propranolol to regulate it and also slow my heart rate.
I have just been reading that a magnesium deficiency can cause this irregular heart rhyhm. If so, is it safe to take a supplement when I am on this particular medication. I also take Pravastatin as a preventative against high cholesterol and aspirins as a preventative against blood clots.

I would like a magnesium supplement that is a base not an acid. Either magnesium carbonate, magnesium hydroxide, magnesium salt. When I enter these search words I either get definitions or they are listed as ingredients in other porducts. I would like to buy it without any other ingredients.
I do not want a tablet; they are hard to digest.

I am trying to compare different magnesium supplements with epsom salts for possible substitution in a detoxing protocol.

I realize diet would be best, and that among supplements magnesium oxide isn’t absorbed easily and is irritating to the digestive tract. Magnesium citrate may be better, as well as chelated magnesium. What about magnesium chloride? Which is best and most cost-effective? It is possible to get a several lbs of magnesium fertilizer salt in bulk(like citrate) for cheap and consume it as a supplement, would this be safe?

I just got a bottle of Blackmores Bio Magnesium. Is it okay if I chewed the tablet to improve absorption? On a side note, any recommendations on a good brand for magnesium supplements?

I need to know what kind of supplement magnesium is in, if it’s in any kind at all.
Also, if you happen to know what Mg ions do for your physical & mental health I’ll be unendingly grateful.
Thanks!
