For example, a perscription potassium chloride supplement shows its 15 ml dosage as having 20 mEg of potassium, whereas a leading dietary supplement says only that its daily dosage (one capsule) has 99 mg of potassium (as a amino acid chelate). How to compare?

I do work out and eat healthy but my body has a problem with water retention due to birth control. So every now and then I take water pills and a potassium supplement. I don’t do drugs, but will I be flagged at MEPS if any of those show up in my system? I know some of the other recruits use water pills to get rid of marijuana in their system, but i only use it for bloating.

a family member told me that she had been dilated to a 2 for weeks and her doctor put her on potassium… 4 days later she was in labor. I have been dilated to a two for three weeks and have thinned completely. but am not having strong enough contractions to speed up the labor process. my doctor scheduled my induction for july 3rd. Im really scared of being induced and have tried all natural remidies. I read on line potassium is important for balanced blood pressure and muscle contractions. any one have any insight?? could taking a potassium supplement hurt me or the baby?

I cook eat whites, oatmeal, salad, chicken, fish , I have to eat 6 meals a day but it’s difficult because it takes a long time to prepare I’ve resorted to eating tuna straight outta the can.
And I have protein shakes, are there any tips for meals that need little or no preparation that are healthy for you , Thanks!

I am aware that low potassium can effect muscle function (including the heart)… but how low is dangerous? My GP didn’t advise!
I am taking a potassium supplement and my bloods will be checked again next week… but in the meantime I was wondering if it’s still okay to do strenuous exercise like running, jogging, cycling etc? I don’t want to get unfit, but also don’t want to have a heart attack, especially as I exercise alone in isolated areas!
Only people who know what they’re talking about answer please! Thank you.

Well, I’m not going to try it anytime soon, but as long as you take vitamins for nutrition and junk food for fat, carbs, and calories (well, I guess a lot of the junk food can be say, white bread ’cause the trans and saturated fat would kill you), can you live? Obviously, you wouldn’t live a very energized or good life, but could you survive on it and live a relatively normal life, at least for a few years?

Take zinc and potassium supplements. These work well with kelp in raising metabolism and mobilizing fat.
Is this true? I’m 19-years-old so would this be okay for me to take?
