Weakness, is this anxiety?

Weakness and thirst. Sometimes shortness of breath where it feels like I don’t fully inhale properly. My body will feel weak like I have strained exercising, but I just do light cardio and it happens mostly at night. I also get pretty thirsty sometimes when this happens. I use to have where I could feel my pulse, like my heart was pounding 24/7. This went away when I changed to a more meat based diet, as did most of the other stuff, but after eating pretty crappy some of it came back (sugar and junk food). I saw a doctor and my potassium is fine (had deficiencies in the past), as is iron and anemia test came back fine. Glucose was fine. I was prescribed amoxicillin because my throat looked bad. I originally went to the doc for shortness of breath and weakness. Strep was negative. I did smoke for about 7 years, heavily, which I could see how it would affect my breathing. Speaking of, when I exercise heavily and breathe deeply, I can feel it way in the back of my throat. It feels like I just smoked a whole carton when I do this, but I haven’t smoked in over a year.

I don’t feel anxious. I’m not really stressed. I just get to where I feel weak.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar or give insight. Mostly it’s the weakness that feels like my muscles, especially leg muscles, are just drained, as well as general fatigue.

I am looking at this informational pamphlet on where it says it contains zeolite and potassium permanganate , which is proven to naturally neutralize ethylene gas in the crisper bin and converts it to harmless water vapor. aware of the accelerated ripening process have commercially used the zeolite/potassium permanganate neutralization method for decades…. this disk is effective for up to 3 months… This product that I mentioned I paid about .00 with shipping and handling… Is it cheaper to just buy this, or try to make a home-made version? *If it is possible to make, is it safe to make and cheaper if it is please provide step-by-step method or website of how to actually make the product. for home-use*

This is a follow up question to my other question:
I have a 70 year old patient who is in the hospital due to increasing fatigue and ankle edema. He is complaining of loss of appetitie and dyspnea that awakens him at night. He suffered from an acute MI 5 years ago, does not smoke or drink. He is currently taking benazepril 20 mg po daily and furosemide 20 mg po daily. He has gained 9 lbs from his usual weight, BP is 130/70; heart rate 124 and irregular; Resp. 28; Temp 98.8º F; breath sounds clear; heart sounds reveal presence of an S3 gallop; 1+ pitting edema of ankles; liver enlargement; no cyanosis; Chest x-ray reveals congestion of the pulmonary vasculature; ECG shows atrial fibrillation.
So today I read that the physician’s orders include increasing the patients dosage of benazepril to 40 mg po daily, keeping the furosemide at 20 mg daily, and adding digoxin 0.125 mg po daily and titrate to effect.

Based on this info: Should the patient increase potassium intake in his diet? Is there any food he should avoid with these meds?

Heart Issues or anxiety or muscle related?

Ok, so ive read many stories like mine but here’s my situation. About two years ago, going to sleep, I felt my heart race and I got pale in color. I went to ER and was told that I was fine and had slight decrease in potassium. I took potassium pills and fixed that issue. However, I was checked by doctors and through several ER visits I learned that there was nothing wrong, apparently. My symptoms include a discomfort in my left chest area, particularly the area between pectoral muscle and shoulder. Its a squeezing pain that sometimes accompanies pains in my left arm, sometimes feeling like I was punched in the arm or bone pain. This has been something present for almost two years now and several EKG’s and holter monitor tests showed that I was "fine". During one visit the doc did say I had slight MVP but that it was so insignificant and that almost everyone has a trace of MPV. I was wondering if anyone knows what this is? Some docs said it could be anxiety but I don’t consider myself as an anxious or "panicky" person. I feel like the pain starts on its own and goes away when it wants. One major thing that I’ve noticed is that it temporarily goes away when I stretched/crack my back. If it helps I am a 21 yr old male weighing about 270lbs. Again its like a squeezing discomfort in the left upper side of my chest that sometimes leads or accompanies left arm pain. It also trigger a fast heart beat once I notice the pain. Some docs said I may have anxiety, but I think its either a muscle tear or underlying heart issue that causes the anxiety and the pain. Any help?

Question about diet coke and cancer?

I heard something about diet coke being the only type of soda that contains (something like) benzyne or potassium benzoate… I can’t exactly remember what it is. Anyway, I heard that prolonged exposure to it could increase a chance of cancer significantly. I was wondering if anyone knew any facts behind this?
