Sodium and Salt Archives

I’m looking at the adult & the puppy, here is the info on both so you don’t have to go look them up!

I am feeding ProPlan Selects Turkey & Barley formula right now, which scored a 104 A+ according to other sites, and if this is better, would like to switch to this! I don’t know how to properly score a food, and I cannot find this one on any of the analysis sites.

Superior Protein Sources
The first year of your puppy’s life he or she needs all the love you can provide along with an optimal balance of nutrients for a healthy start. Natural chicken and turkey head our ingredient list along with four additional highly bioavailable proteins for outstanding digestibility and great taste. Essential proteins promote wellness and support the growth of strong muscles as your puppy grows. Omega 6 and Omega 3 fatty acids provide support for a healthy skin and coat.
Natural Fruits & Veggies
Pure, wholesome fruits and vegetables provide valuable nutrients, vitamins, minerals, enzymes and antioxidants for your dog. We simply dry the carrots, bananas, papaya, apples and blueberries and then blend with the Ultramix kibble. Don’t be fooled by other diets that feature fruits and veggies in the ingredients list - you can’t even see them in the kibble! And because they’re usually processed under high heat they retain only minimal nutritional value…not so with NATURAL ULTRAMIX!

Rich Sources of Carbohydrates
Potatoes combined with whole grains provide essential vitamins and minerals as well as a balanced source of sustainable energy. Dried beet pulp also provides an important and safe source of dietary fiber to help promote a healthy intestinal tract. Contrary to popular belief, beet pulp does not contain sugar and has not been proven to affect coat color or cause bloat.

Essential Vitamins & Minerals –
Fortified with essential vitamins and minerals (including Calcium and Phosphorous) and balanced to meet the needs of your puppy.

Additional Benefits
Formulated with DHA, a nutrient found in mother’s milk, to help support brain and vision development. Ultramix Puppy Formula utilizes a natural source of DHA for a Firm Foundation.

What do you think of this blog post?

The United States is known by many as the greatest country on Earth, the land of opportunity. We have everything here: Freedom of speech, Obama, democracy, and multiple fast food restaurants in every city. Home to the homeless, rich cocaine addicts, Republicans and Democrats, and most obese humans on the planet. Although we’re most often recognized for being well-fed.
But every place has to be recognized for something, right? When one thinks of France, an image of a hairy French woman smoking a cigg is thought of. When one thinks of Ethiopia, we think of a sad looking, but adorable malnourished black boy. When Amsterdam comes to mind, a man smoking a blunt on a sidewalk is pictured. When Mexico is thought of, we don’t even see any Mexicans. We think of an elementary school janitor. In the USA. Who is Mexican.
All of us Americans know that when say, a European, thinks of America, he thinks of an obese balding man wearing a wife-beater hunched over a half pounder in the hospitalization-inducing place we call McDonald’s. The man is loud and obnoxious; he is making a mess. His jeans are too low to conceal the sight of his pale butt crack, much to everyone’s dismay. He is eating at an odd pace, one you would expect only from a starving Ethiopian. He is slurring his words; he is an idiot.
That’s the rest of the world’s image of our country. But of course we are fine with it. At least we’re not Ethiopian. It’s not like we don’t see this scene all the time. This stereotypical fat man is not a myth, but rather an unnoticed wallflower we have gotten used to. No use getting worked up over everyone making this man the icon for all Americans. He’s probably attention starved anyway.
Every once in a while we engage in our icon’s behavior, too. We have to, that’s how we show the appreciation of our beloved USA. Today, I had four large brownies for breakfast. To wash it down, I had a Coke. Later for lunch, I had sodium-jammed Cup Noodles. Finally, for dinner, I went to Taco Bell and consumed a greasy Chalupa in no less than a minute and thirty seconds. Throughout the whole day, I surely walked less than a thousand steps. No one has reprimanded me for this. It is normal. I mean, I AM American.
Gotta love this country.

why is processed foods?

why is processed foods not good for health?. It is said that they are rich in sodium. If that is correct how is it processed food picks up more sodium?.

I wrote this as satire on the democrats. What are your thoughts on it and how can I improve it? It must still sound like satire. I love how I got so many threatening emails about this post, because no one got the fact that it was a joke.

his is a work in motion so it is subject to improvements, but I am working on this and this is what I have so far. I would like to know what everyone thinks.

My hopes for Barack Obama’s presidency:

Before the end of Barack Obama’s 2nd term the following things will happen:

Gas Taxes will be a litre or about per gallon. This will help us to fight global warming and encourage people to take public transportation.

A 20% VAT will be imposed, on top of your state sales tax, on ALL goods, including food and clothing.

There will be a 60% income tax on ALL people with a government cap on income set at ,000. The taxes will go towards providing medical care and housing for the needy.

A minimum income will be set for those on welfare at ,000. No longer will those on welfare have to suffer while greedy rich people live happy, healthy lives. The age of the wealthy is over and the poor, meek, and those who do not work for a living will inherit the earth.

Any and all dissent will be silenced immediately. The dissenter’s career will be destroyed, they will be labeled a "racist", and thrown in jail for a minimum of 5 years per offence.

The people will be required to give 10% of their incomes to humanitarian aid, both local and foreign.

Retrograde taxes will be imposed on all those who previously made more then 0,000 a year.

The government will sponsor and handle the upkeep of all museums, national forests, and wildlife reserves with tax payer money.

Guns of ANY kind will be banned PERMANENTLY. Possession of any gun will result in a ,000 fine and a minimum of 5 years in prison for each offence. This rule, however, does not apply to government official who have consistently voted Democrat since becoming registered voters.

The government will impose a cap on how much each corporation can make in a year. There will be no more making millions or billions on ANYTHING.

The government will regulate how much sodium, sugar, and fat is allowed in food in order to reduce costs to the government health care plan.

All immigrationally challenged people will be granted full amnesty and be issued a formal apology from the United States government.

This is just the beginning. I have so many more hopes for Obama’s presidency, but I haven’t thought of them all yet.

I posted this response a few times in the Politics and Government section, and I don’t know why it was a violation. Can someone help me? I think it is because I offended Obama Sheep. When I got the violation I could just see them foaming at the mouth when they read it. But seriously. Why would it be a violation? It is complete satire on the left, and they proved some of my points right by trying to stiffle dissent.
