Difference between muscle cramp or muscle twitching due to low potassium?
What would lead to muscle cramping rather than muscle twitching after overexercising due to low potassium levels?

I LOVE your question. I’ve been freaking out about this muscle twiching and I just noticed that I’ve been getting basically no potassium and working out a lot. Anyways, a muscle cramp is way more intense, the twitching is just a strange creepy feeling right under your skin.
Muscle cramps are charlie horses where the muscle ties up in a knot and your leg draws up and hard for it to straighten out, with out a lot of massaging to the leg. Muscle twitching is sometimes cause by a nervous leg syndrome.
Magnesium deficiencies also can cause muscle tics, twitches, and cramps. I recommend increasing your fruit and vegetable intake to get more potassium, and also a calcium-magnesium-zinc pill with each meal daily. Calcium helps muscles contract; magnesium helps them relax. (the zinc is just good for you, and most people don’t get enuff of that either).
