Does taking a potassium supplement do anything?
I noticed potassium supplements only have 99mg or 3% RDA. Is that worth taking? I have multiple digestive diseases and I cannot eat any vegetables and I can only eat a few fruits, but I don’t digest anything that well. My magnesium is low so I am taking a supplement for that, but I wonder if I have enough potassium since my diet is so poor. Is 99mg enough to make up for a deficiency?
2nd question (related)
I take 1/2 a multivitamin because that is all my stomach can handle, it doesn’t have potassium and is missing several other minerals. Is a multi-mineral a better idea?

These are questions you should ask your doctor about, but here’s the basics:
Taking too much potassium in one supplement can do weird things to the strongest supplement, so that’s why the amount is so low. Since you have a weak stomach, keep taking the multi, but you may want to take the potassium supplement twice, 3 times a day. That should help.
Also, you may want to try a fruit/vegetable enriched multivitamin, like one of these: http://www.rainbowlight.com/CategoriesProducts.aspx?Category=5cd2ffa2-9708-4484-85da-58ebc63cb4fe
It makes bananas grow in your belly
Bananas are an awesome source of potassium and so are potatoes, you can have both of these mashed so that they should be fairly easy to digest. Natural food options always win overr vitamin tablets. Try boost juices too as juices are easier to digest and full of vitamins and minerals. Maybe buy a juicer.
