My daughter loved to eat vegetables and fruit. I didn’t have a lot of ice cream and cookies but on a front room table (that she could reach) I had grapes and apples and oranges. She never had to ask if she could eat them. I let her. They were always there and within her reach. BTW we called broccoli - trees and cauliflower - flowers. They were in the fridge already pre cut and cleaned for her.
My kid wants what I’m eating. He’s 20 months and loves salad.
If you don’t have junk in the house, they won’t eat junk.
If you act like you love something, they will keep trying it. My mom LOVES tomatoes and as a child I kept trying them because I saw how much she enjoyed them. Eventually I started to like them too. My son is the same way with broccoli. He knows I love it, so he keeps trying it, even though when he does put it in his mouth he makes yukky faces.
