How do you make a Turtle Cheesecakes, like the one from Impromptu Gourmet?
II found a recipe called Ultimate Turtle cheesecake at Kraftfoods.com, but the picture of it, tells me it’s not the same. Doesn’t look the same, anway.

i found these 2 recipes:
Turtle Cheesecake
3/4 cup grahan crackers
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
3 8ounce packages cream cheese, softened
1 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
3 eggs
Preheat oven to 300 degrees, Combine crumbs, nuts, sugar and butter; press firmly on bottom of 9 inch spingform pan ot 13×9inch pan. In large mixer bowl, beat cheese until fluffy. Gradully beat in milk unitl smooth. Add eggs and extract; mix well. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 55-60 minutes or until center is set. Cool. Top with topping. Chill
Topping:
In small pan, combine 1/3 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar and 1/3 cup whipping cream. Cook and stir until sugar dissolves. Simmer 5 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat; stir in 1/2 cup chopped peacnas. For 13×9 inch pan, double all topping ingredients; simmer 10 -12 minutes ot till thick. Spread over top of cheesecake. May serve with warm caramel sauce if desired. I have not made this but I guess if you wanted a chocolate filling you could use the chocolate condensed milk.

Ultimate Turtle Cheesecake

Total Time: 5 hr 40 min
Makes: 16 servings
2 cups OREO Chocolate Cookie Crumbs
6 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
1 bag (14 oz.) KRAFT Caramels
1/2 cup milk
1 cup PLANTERS Pecan Pieces
3 pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 Tbsp. vanilla
3 eggs
2 squares BAKER’S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate
PREHEAT oven to 325°F if using a silver 9-inch springform pan (or to 300°F if using a dark nonstick springform pan). Mix crumbs and butter; press firmly onto bottom and 2 inches up side of pan.
PLACE caramels and milk in small microwavable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 3 minutes or until caramels are completely melted, stirring after each minute. Stir in pecans. Pour half of the caramel mixture into crust. Refrigerate 10 minutes. Cover and refrigerate remaining caramel mixture for later use.
BEAT cream cheese, sugar and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition just until blended. Pour over caramel layer in crust.
BAKE 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes or until center is almost set. Run knife or metal spatula around side of pan to loosen cake; cool before removing side of pan. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.
MICROWAVE reserved caramel mixture on HIGH 1 minute; stir. Pour over cheesecake. Melt chocolate as directed on package; drizzle over cheesecake. Store leftover cheesecake in refrigerator.
