How long can the hospital keep me for high bp?
I’m on day 5 of being in the hospital after delivering early via c-section. I’m also on doctor #5, each one has a different idea about how long I will be here. Has anyone else had persistant high blood pressure after delivering and they wouldn’t let you leave? I’m now on two medications, one of which has been increased twice and my bp just won’t stay down. It’s starting to feel like I could be here forever!

Pre-eclampsia can last as much as 8 weeks after delivery. Most women who have pregnancy induced hypertension are usually clear of it after 5-10 days as the hormones leave their body.
