Lisinopril can cause coughing, but you should call your doctor if you can quit taking it.
Spironolactone is a potassium sparing diuretic, and there is probably a very specific reason you were prescribed that medication also.
Call you doctors office tomorrow to see if you can leave a message for him/her, they’ll let you know what you should do.
Hope this helps!
U NEED TO CONSULT THE DR. THAT PRESCRIBED THOSE MEDICATIONS AND TELL THEM YOUR SYMPTONS AND LET THEM DECEIDE
It is never safe to mess with your medications without the approval of your doctor. A cough is a common side effect of Lisinopril, and there are meds he can prescribe instead, but until you talk to him, do not stop the medication.
you must consult your doctor for any medication changes. lisinopril does cause a cough but can be replaced with another blood pressure medication. Lisinopril is widely given in preference due to longer lasting effects means you dont have to take it as often. Ask your doctor about capoten also known as captopril. Keep on mind though that most blood pressure medications side effects include a cough. Jus please, whatever you do, dont stop taking it!
