Is low sodium V8 juice bad for a toddler? Meaning does it have too much potassium for their bodies?
My 18 month old adores v8 and I drink the low sodium variety, and it has 820mg of potassium in each 8 ounce glass. He can drink 8 ounces in a day and I was wondering if that was too much potassium for his body? What if he drinks 2 glasses? There is not much sodium only about 140 mg.

Between the age of 1 and 2, the recommended daily amount of potassium is 1000mg. I would say that one glass/bottle should be enough

I second Deans’ suggestion of diluting it.
probably a bottle is too much
I will admit that I don’t keep up with the amount of vitamins a child…or even I should get daily. My only suggestion is if you are concerned about it, perhaps you can dilute his V8 a little. He will think he is getting 2 glasses when he may only be getting 1. I still dilute both of my kids juices…they love it just the same.
Potassium is water soluble and is easily lost in the urine over the course of day so you could safely give him at least 8 oz a day.
Ian drinks it sometimes, but I always use half water half juice on all of his juices.
