FDA approval means nothing. Not that I don't believe in Doctors or Medicine, but The FDA is often very critical of things that they have never even tested! I mean they say: No evidence, but how do you know if there isn't any evidence when you yourselves admit that you have never tested or studied it to see what it does? This is an organization that tried to make Vitamin C a drug. Its all about money these days. I mean look at all of the people who have died from drugs that are "FDA" approved. Listen to the list of side effects on some of these drugs during commercials! Some of them even include the word "DEATH". I don't think I would even risk taking some powerful medication just because the FDA said I could. They lie about natural remedies, and push drugs with harmful side effects onto people. My hat goes off to Doctors who truly want to do whats best for their patients. Rather than constantly giving them a pill to solve every single problem. I understand that at some point in time, a person may have to take a drug as a last resort. But we Americans are popping pills like crazy in this day and age. It needs to stop. When you read a bottle of vitamins, it will say that has not been tested by the FDA! Yet the FDA says that there is no evidence that vitamins prevent disease???? I believe that the USRDA for vitamin C is WAY WAY lower than it should be. You cannot overdose on vitamin C. It is absolutely impossible. Humans are the only creatures that do not make their own vitamin C. This vitamin is very important. A believe a person should consume at least 1000mg of vitamin c a day. But I consume about 4000mg. Thats just me.
The FDA does not approve vitamins or supplements, they are legally not allowed to do so. Anyone can sell a supplement, all the FDA can do is say they can't sell it as medicine, and they can't have anything outright poisonous or dangerous in it.
Eating a healthy, balanced diet for your nutritional needs is not difficult, but it is trickier than you think.
Successful potassium diets are dependent on a number of other factors about your daily diet, state of health, medical need and well being.
Sodium, magnesium, maintaining a healthy diet, water intake, age, gender and current health condition are all critical factors.
Read the bottle, it will tell you if the contents and values have been approved by the food and drug administration or not.
ODDS ARE they aren't, most vitamins and supplemental aren't FDA approved.
