low potassium?
alright so my doctor said that I'm pretty darn low on my potassium–my muscles keep cramping up and so I'm wondering how low potassium causes that and how do you get low potassium to begin with?

Every cell in your body works best at a certain concentration of several substances. If that balance is screwed up, the cells aren't able to work as they should.
Specifically, Potassium is an electrolyte, which means that it allows electrical signals to travel through the fluid in your body. With low potassium, the electrical signals that cause your muscles to contract are unable to get to the muscles, so they can't work as well as they should. I've usually heard of cramps happening when people have too little water (and thus higher potassium and sodium levels), but I guess it could go the other way.
Like every other nutrient, you get potassium from your diet. Try eating bananas.

eat bannanas is good
it's part of the dehyration process. too many diuretics: coffee, tea, coke, all take more water away from your system, they do not count towrd the water you need, also if you drink energy drinks or medication to help you pee
