why does potassium chloride give a salty taste but not raise blood pressure?
It is sometimes used as a salt substitute but it does not raise blood pressure. why?
also why is hidden salt in the diet a danger to people who have kidney damage?

We are currently trying to put him on the dash diet to lower it and have asked him to see his physician to see if hey can get any medication to lower his BP. Still we are still worried about the possibility of death. Generally, how high must his BP be to be fatal?

thanks =)
