Potassium Deficiency. How much supplement do I take?
I’ve had a deficiency for a long time now and I can never get a straight answer of how many mg of the supplement I should take. It says on the internet your supposed to have like 3000 mg a day but that is strange as how most bottles i find over the counter are only like 99 mg. So I just want to know how much of this 99 mg supplement Im supposed to take.

The recommended daily allowance for potassium is apparently 3,500 mg per day so you could probably take something like 10 potassium pills per day (10 x 99 mg). The rest of your potassium could come from food.
There is plenty of potassium in bananas, potatoes and nuts. Most fruit and vegetables contain good amounts of potassium.
i saw a supplement in the pharmacy its called slow-K its a potassium supplement, that’s timed release.you don’t need a prescription, just ask for it at the pharmacy counter.
