Hi Emily,

If you are taking synthetic vitamins, please switch to a WHOLE FOOD vitamin -- one made out of food. Synthetic vitamins are made from petroleum waste products, and are bad for your body.

To increase potassium, do NOT eat bananas -- they actually burn more potassium than they provide.

Cut out refined carbs and sugar -- for every sugar molecule, your body burns a potassium molecule to process it.

Foods high in potassium include UNSWEETENED cranberry juice (dilute it 2 oz of cranberry juice with 6 oz of water, add 1/4 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice); honeydew melon, celery and cruciferous veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, kale, brussels sprouts, cabbage; and dark green leafy veggies -- at least half raw.

Good luck.

Orange juice is a good source of potassium.
Parsely is a wonderful source - if you like tabbouli thats a great way to get more potassium

These folks who suggest whole foods vitamins make me laugh.
They totally get suckered into a sales pitch.
Those "whole food" vitamins (new chapter, megafoods, etc) are made by feeding USP nutrients (yes, the petrochemical stuff) to bacteria, and then the bacteria is given to you...they are made from foods, the bacteria are fed those foods....you have any idea how little ;) And how a bacteria breaks things down is quite different than how you do....you have bacteria in your own system to break those things down. Why pay so much more folks...just take regular vitamins

Just saying - I think they really slant whats really going on to dupe people....its a personal resentment
