Depends how high it is.
Generaly, people may have heart palpitations, increased respiratory rate, or muscle aches/weakness.
EKG strips may show abnormalities, such as peaked T-waves.
Most people will only show symptoms of the disease/process which caused the high potassium (such as diabetic ketoacidosis, renal failure, medication overdose, etc).
Some people feel tired/weak or have palpitations, but they aren't reliable. The problem with hyperkalemia is that dysrhythmias may be the first sign, and the first symptom may very well be keeling over dead from the cardiac rhythm disturbance.
why do people say EKG, i know it as ECG
isnt it electrocardiogram??
