What do you think about my hopes for Obama's Presidency?
This is a work in motion so it is subject to improvements, but I am working on this and this is what I have so far. I would like to know what everyone thinks.
My hopes for Barack Obama’s presidency:
Before the end of Barack Obama’s 2nd term the following things will happen:
Gas Taxes will be a litre or about per gallon. This will help us to fight global warming and encourage people to take public transportation.
A 20% VAT will be imposed on ALL goods, including food and clothing.
There will be a 60% income tax on ALL people with a government cap on income set at ,000. The taxes will go towards providing medical care and housing for the needy.
A minimum income will be set for those on welfare at ,000. No longer will those on welfare have to suffer while greedy rich people live happy, healthy lives. The age of the wealthy is over and the poor, meek, and those who do not work for a living will inherit the earth.
Criticism of Obama and his policies will not be tolerated. Those criticising will be charged with a hate crime and thrown in jail for a minimum of 5 years. No longer will racists roam America, free to spew their hatred.
The people will be required to give 10% of their incomes to humanitarian aid, both local and foreign.
Retrograde taxes will be imposed on all those who previously made more then 0,000 a year.
The government will sponsor and handle the upkeep of all museums, national forests, and wildlife reserves with tax payer money.
Guns of ANY kind will be banned PERMANENTLY. Possession of any gun will result in a ,000 fine and a minimum of 5 years in prison for each offence. However, the government and those who have voted democrat consistently since being able to vote will be able to own them.
The government will impose a cap on how much each corporation can make in a year. There will be no more making millions or billions on ANYTHING.
The government will regulate how much sodium, sugar, and fat is allowed in food in order to reduce costs to the government health care plan.
All immigrationally challenged people will be given amnesty immediately and given retrograde welfare cheques for the years the racist Republicans wouldn’t let them in.
This is just the beginning. I have so many more hopes for Obama’s presidency, but I haven’t thought of them all yet.

Lordy, lordy, lordy, do you live in a dream world, or are you just mesmerized by Obama?
If what you want were to happen, this country would no longer exist as an independent nation. But then again, it seems as if that is exactly what you are wishing for.
My hopes for Obama, while not as dreamy as yours, are as follows:
1. He loses his bid for re-election.
2. He leaves the country in shame.
That’s it and I would gladly give up #2, if #1 comes true.
My hope is that this is a joke.
Why would you even want to live this way? What would your great grandparents who probably came from some oppressed country where they escaped from that kind of life (to make sure you had a better one) think of you? This country was made by people who didn’t want to live like that. There are still countries who have that form of government; the borders are not closed for you to go there.

I think your sarcasm is lost on those of us who don’t agree that Obama is the Great Satan. I am also sure that there will be those who will validate your hatred. Course, it won’t last long and you’ll have to ask another sarcastic question. Enjoy!

It will wear off when you wake up and realize that you no longer have the freedoms that you once treasured. Like;
(1) Freedom of speech. Freedom of expression.
(2) the right to keep and bear arms. No right for self defense! Somebody that I don’t know breaks into my house to steal what I have earned will find themselves in a gunfight! They had better be a good shot because I don’t miss!
(3) Freedom of the press. That includes speaking on YA!
(4) Government officials will have the right to occupy your home and you can’t say anything, or do anything about it.
(5) No right to private land ownership!
If any of this happens. I will take at least three of them before they take me! I would rather die standing against them, than to die bowing down to them!
I said it before, and I will say it again. Under Obama, everyone will get what they don’t deserve!
first of all global warming doesn’t exist.
average global temps have been falling for the past 12 years.
most scientist now agree that we are headed toward an ice age not global warming. how do you explain other planets in our solar system that were warming at the same rate that we were at the same rate that we were? Now in 2009 we are cooling because of lack of sun activity.
human intervention has little or no effect on global temps. also I live in the north central U.S. and we just had the 5th coldest winter on record and now we are having the 8th coldest summer on record?
2 days ago it struggled to make it to 60 degrees. its July for crying out loud. the price of gas that high would crush the economy in the U.S.
to raise taxes would be stupid. it will mean lower standard of living and loss of more jobs. As for welfare, welfare needs to go away all together. once again it would mean higher taxes. Too many people abuse the system. Deadbeats that could be working that refuse to get off there butts and work. meanwhile people that work pay there way?
that’s not fair to me or any other working stiff.
As for guns, Well I’m sorry I have the right to defend myself in my house. if you ban guns the only people that will have guns will be the bad guys. that ain’t cool. mean while the black market goes nuts. Lets all become sheep, yeah that’s great. This is America I think if you have goods and or services and people are willing to pay for those goods and services you should be able to make how ever much that you want to. As for immigration sorry once again. Every other country has immigration laws. And enforces them. if you don’t love this country and are willing to contribute and be and American then get out! learn the language learn our culture or leave.
