What do you think my dog allergic too?
I fed her proplan weight management-She full of energy, her coats perfect, no ear infections, no eye tears.

Yet when i fed her advance dental
She has servere eye gunk, however her coat remains excellent, she notwhere near as active on this forumlar, she doesn’t get the ear infections.

Please do not critise the formulars i fed her, I currently sticking with proplan as it works for her. Also please note as I’m aussie we do NOT have the fancy holistic brands available in america and uk, also please note I am NOT rich!
She not allergic to corn, as corn is also in the proplan and she gets NO allergies.
If she was allergic to corn, she have allergies with this forumlar too.
She not allergic to the chicken meat and she not allergic to rice.
I’m thinking she could be allergic to some of these ingredients in the advance formular

-dogs are not true carnivores! They are omnivores! Another fact is we don’t have the brands listed-Only eagle pack and royal canin and are totally out of my price range! Other then that We do not have any of the grain free foods-Remember the owner of dog food anaylsis is NOT a vet and she/he DOES NOT HAVE A DEGREE IN VETERINARY NUTRITION! I do not believe in total grain free food, they need some grains for proper bowel function.

Think about the allergens in the air, in the house, in your yard. It doesn’t have to be a food problem, it could be an environmental issue.

Corn is a major allergy in dogs.

Check out http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com . It has a rating system. I would try a grain free food. You can probably find one for close to the price of proplan.
My GSD is allergic to chicken as well as barley. You could also try a fish based food. Really you have to try by trial. Eye gunk can sometime be a result of the water she is drinking.
What kind of dog do you have? Certain breeds also have specific needs.
I can’t believe anyone would want to feed a dog all those chemicals etc.
You when dogs were wild, they didn’t eat any of that crap and they did just fine until man came along.
You should think about feeding it a more natural diet.
It may not be a food allergy at all. Many people go on the food allergy bit anytimes they see a bit of eye goober or an occasional ear infection. There are also environmental allergies and other things to consider. Eye goobers can be caused from an eye infection or plugged tear ducts. Many dogs are sensitive to lucerne (alfalfa meal) plus it can cause gas and bloating. However I cannot tell you if your dog is allergic to lucerne or anything.else. That’s up to you and your vet to decide.
