What ratio of chemicals do I mix to create a rich deep blue Cyanotype 44″x36″ print?
I would like to make a 44 inch by 36 inch Cyanotype print. I have purchased the necessary chemicals: Ferric ammonium citrate and Potassium ferricyanide.
Is anyone experienced enough with Cyanotype process to inform me of how to properly mix the chemicals to create a rich blue print? (how much of each chemical should be added to how much water etc.) Keep in mind the final print dimension is 44" x 36".

Gee, you don’t mind doing things the hard way do you? The URL describes the process and has mixing instructions. Next time you want to do this, go to http://www.freestylephoto.biz and get their pre measured kit. Then all you do is add water. My experience is that a little hydrogen peroxide, the stuff you get at any drugstore or market deepens the blue hue. For the size you’re trying to make you’ll only need about a tablespoon full. This is a kind of hit and miss process. Exposure times will vary print to print, and you need to develop an eye for when your exposure is correct. But when you get it right, it is just so cool.
Good Luck
